Yes, we can assist you by drawing your plans, all interaction will be via email etc. If you decide to do the submissions yourself at least the following documentation is needed, SG diagram, Sewerage diagram, Zoning certificate, Title deed, if additions to your dwelling we would request a copy of your existing plans aswell. We could do your submission, but this service will increase your costs. However we will assist you where we can to direct you through the process

Our pricing structure is per sqr meter, and pools, walls etc is a set amount, Upon accepting quotation we normally require a 50% deposit and on acceptance of the Final drafted plan the balance.

It on average take 1 working day, after all the necessary information is available to KMI. The main information needed e.g. m2 additions/ m2 new dwelling/ the additional services required etc.

KMI has an agreement with a registered NHBRC builder, we have visited previous work he has completed and also to clients we referred him to, as yet we have not had any negative feedback on his pricing and or services. By backing a builder we also put our reputation on line and therefore do we scrutinize our preferred builder vigorously and rely on feedback from our clients whom utilizes him.

Draughting services is a wide services field. Our completed projects ranges from the small projects pools, boundary walls, carports to the medium sized additions/ alterations to existing dwellings, new dwellings to the larger projects, industrial buildings: Workshops / storage facilities, lodges, Block of flats, New dwellings 500m2 – 1000+m2, thus no request is to big or to small for us.
Please NOTE when draughting services is required for projects +500 m2 the services of an registered Architect is required, thus will we conform to such specifications. KMI do conform to SACAP rules and regulations.

Yes, submission of plans is one of KMI’s services offered.
We will submit your plans to your local authority. It takes about 6-8weeks to get feedback from the LA on the submitted plans (KMI starts contacting the LA in week six, to get feedback on the status) in this 6-8weeks a LA plan examiner examines the plans to ensure all regulations are aheard to on the drawings. An Building inspector will visit your premises to ensure what is drawn as existing is as such.
After this period KMI will collect the plans rectify any requests from the LA, circulate it to various LA departments for their approval. This period various from 1 day to 2 weeks dependent on the type of plan and complexity.
Where building line relaxation and other applications were done it could take longer for the plans to be approved as the plans will be dependent on any other application submitted. Please

Yes, this will be SACAP (South African Council for the architectural profession) an government institution regulating the architectural profession ensure the standards are kept and uphold, KMI is bound to the rules and regulations of SACAP, our draftsman is registered with SACAP and also registered at the PIA.
